Concrete Laboratory Testing
Laboratory testing services for concrete include aggregate constituent source properties, time of set and drying shrinkage of cement, concrete mix design (batching, mixing, plastic concrete testing, specimen fabrication, curing, compressive and flexural strength testing) as well as performance testing (Coulomb testing for chloride ion penetration, length of mortar bar change to asses Alkali Silica Reactivity (ASR) potential, modulus of elasticity). The fully accredited laboratory is also high-performance (>7,000 PSI) concrete capable.
Masonry Laboratory Testing
Laboratory testing services for masonry include mix proportioning and testing to determine flow, initial set time, compressive strength and various other physical characteristics of plastic mortars and grouts; compressive strength, absorption and unit weight for brick and concrete block (both normal and lightweight varieties), and compressive strength masonry prisms up to three standard blocks in height.

Field Inspection
Field Inspection services offered encompass inspections for all phases of the concrete and masonry construction processes including formwork erection, reinforcing steel placement, plastic concrete testing, fabrication curing and delivery of test specimens, post-pour curing and protection, determination of concrete slab floor flatness and levelness, concrete block sampling and testing, masonry mortar sampling and testing, grout placement monitoring and prism testing. Additional capabilities include extraction of in-place concrete samples for strength determination (coring) and determination of concrete cover depth over reinforcement using ground penetrating radar (GPR).

Production facility inspection services available include all sampling, testing and inspection activities required to ensure compliance with Owner-Agency specification requirements for concrete production, including verification of approved constituent sources, aggregate testing (moisture content, gradation, fineness modulus) batch weight correction verification (based on available free-moisture in aggregate), calculation of water-cementitous materials ratio, and determination of available water remaining to trim the load upon delivery.
Precast/Pre-stressed Inspection
Precast/Pre-stressed inspection services offered include comprehensive sampling, testing, and inspection of precast/pre-stressed concrete construction including verification of concrete mixtures and plastic concrete properties, inspection of reinforcement and strand placement, monitoring of pre-stressing and post-tensioning, pre-pour and post-pour inspection of casting beds, curing procedures, and confirmation of stressing via strand elongation monitoring and camber measurements.
