PROJECT BLACKHAWK/MCKESSON CORPORATION DISTRIBUTION CENTER Hamptonburgh, NY Project Blackhawk/McKesson Corporation Distribution Center Known as Project Blackhawk from its onset, the 340,000,000 square foot warehouse located in Hamptonburgh, NY became a distribution hub for the McKesson Corporation in the Northeast.  Advance Testing was contracted to provide materials testing and special inspection services during the construction of the $58.2 million facility. McKesson’s new Hamptonburgh distribution center supports the long-term distribution network infrastructure strategy for McKesson customers in the Northeast region and provides greater market coverage to the area. The Hamptonburgh location includes state-of-the-art technology and automation to help drive productivity and quality gains in the future. CPV VALLEY ENERGY CENTER Waywayanda, NY CPV Valley Energy Center CPV Valley Energy Center is a natural gas combined-cycle electric power generator located in the town of Waywayanda, capable of generating 680 MW. The project is sited on a 122-acre parcel in close proximity to Interstate 84. This facility can produce enough electricity to power more than 650,000 homes, helping to meet the demand for local, reliable power in the Hudson Valley. The facility utilizes advanced air-cooling which reduces water use approximately 85% compared to traditional facilities. After a lengthy eight-year review and approval process, the project commenced with a total construction timeline of thirty months. The project included 200,000 yd3 of fill and 20,000 yd3 of concrete as well as a large quantity of steel and welding inspection. CRYSTAL RUN HEALTHCARE Newburgh, NY; West Nyack, NY; Monroe, NY Crystal Run Healthcare Crystal Run Healthcare, a national leader in healthcare innovation, embarked upon the construction of several new, innovative facilities in New York State. These multi-specialty one-stop healthcare destinations offer fast check-in, in-room checkouts and a better overall healthcare experience. The first location was a 66,000 square foot facility in Newburgh. Following the completion of this project the next two locations, West Nyack and Monroe, were constructed simultaneously. Both of these structures are approximately 70,000 square feet. Advance Testing was contracting to provide all special inspections and testing, which included soil compaction testing, bearing capacity testing, reinforcing steel inspection, concrete testing, masonry testing and inspection, structural steel and bolting inspection, ultrasonic weld testing, asphalt field inspection and a multitude of laboratory tests. RESORTS WORLD CATSKILLS CASINO Thompson, NY Resort World Catskills Casino Advance Testing was contracted by both EPR Properties, the property owner, and Empire Resorts, the casino owner/operator, to provide testing and inspection services over the course of this $1.2 billion entertainment and lifestyle complex. The facility was one of only four sites selected by the New York State Gaming Commission to build and operate a full table gaming casino after a competitive selection process. Initial work on the 1,700-acre site was overseen by EPR Properties, and included installation of new roadways, water and sewer utilities, including a new traffic circle at Exit 106 off of Route 17 and a new 4-lane, 8,000-foot entry road. Construction of the Resorts World Catskills Casino and Hotel was completed in late 2017, which included a below-grade parking garage, an 80,000 square foot casino, a seventeen-story 390-room hotel, as well as conference, meeting room and banquet facilities. THE KARTRITE RESORT & INDOOR WATER PARK Thompson, NY The Kartrite Resort & Indoor Water Park The Kartrite, a 430,000 square foot family resort destination, was constructed on a portion of the 1,600-acre site where the famed Concord Resort was formerly located. The $180 million project features one of New York’s largest indoor waterparks (2 acres); with the resort featuring an 8-story 324 suite luxury hotel; a family entertainment center including an arcade, mini bowling and ropes course; eight restaurants and bars; a spa; and 18,000 square feet of conference space. The waterpark’s column-free construction offers 10 waterslides, pools, and adventures situated underneath an energy efficient, transparent Texlon roofing system that brings the outdoors inside.
