YO1 WELLNESS RESORT & SPA, CATSKILLS Monticello, NY YO1 Wellness Resort & Spa, Catskills This wellness resort was built on the 1,300 acre site of the former Kutsher’s Country Club, which was a long-time Sullivan County resort getaway for more than 100 years. The YO1 Wellness Resort is a $90 million, 260,000 square foot wellness center that incorporates the five sciences of Ayurveda, a 5,000-year-old Indian holistic healing practice, nutrition, yoga, acupuncture and nature cure. THE RECONSTRUCTION OF THE WORLD TRADE CENTER COMPLEX New York, NY The Reconstruction of the World Trade Center Complex Advance Testing held a specific contract for providing inspection and testing services during the reconstruction of the World Trade Center complex through the Port Authority of NY and NJ. During this time Advance Testing assisted the Port Authority of NY and NJ with inspections on the symbolic 1,776 ft building, both the largest building in New York City and the height designed to symbolize the year of our nation’s declaration of independence. In addition to World Trade Center Tower 1 (Freedom Tower), Advance Testing also worked on the following building in the complex: the WTC Memorial, Vehicle Security Center, and the Transportation Hub PATH Station (the Oculus). WORLD HEADQUARTERS CONSTRUCTION (CONFIDENTIAL CLIENT) New York World Headquarters Construction (Confidential Client) Over a two-year period, this project encompassed construction of three multi-story apartment buildings, a vehicle maintenance building, an office-service building and a four-level parking garage, encompassing 1.6 million square feet. The owner engaged Advance Testing as one of the few outside consultants involved with the project, and we maintained a full-time team on the project for the duration of the construction activity, with an on-site staff of up to ten individuals. Services provided included moisture density testing, bearing capacity testing, concrete and rebar field inspections and testing; masonry inspection and testing; structural steel, bolting and weld inspections and testing; installation inspection of fireproofing; and a significant array of laboratory testing and analysis, including over 16,000 concrete cylinder strength tests. UNITED NATURAL FOODS DISTRIBUTION FACILITY Montgomery, NY United Natural Foods Distribution Facility United Natural Foods, a distributor of natural, organic and specialty foods, constructed a new 525,000 square foot refrigerated distribution facility on Neelytown Road in Montgomery, NY. Advance Testing was contracted to provide materials testing and special inspection services during the construction of the $55 million facility, which is the second-largest facility in its national network. This project was the latest in a series of distribution facilities in Montgomery’s corridor. Advance Testing has been fortunate to work on many of them and continue to offer our expertise in the area. OLD NAVY DISTRIBUTION CENTER Fishkill, NY Old Navy Distribution Center Clayco Construction Co. was the contractor on a 1.5 million square foot distribution facility and warehouse for Gap/Old Navy. This $78 million facility consisted of three buildings constructed on this 200-acre site located in Fishkill, NY. The first segment, the main distribution building consists of a 50,000 square foot, 2-story, office space and a 1.5 million square foot distribution zone. Ultimately, the project will include 2 additional structures; consisting of 300,000 square foot building and 700,000 square foot facility.  Upon completion, over 800,000 cubic yards of rock were blasted, crushed, and moved. In addition 67,000 cubic yards of concrete will have been placed. Included in that is over 650,000 square foot of tilt-up wall panels equaling the largest amount of tilt-up ever utilized for one project. Advance Testing was contracted by Clayco/Old Navy to inspect all cast in place concrete on site, yielding over 2, 500 cylinders tested through our office. [...]
